Artist Miro Sinovcic spent the early half of his life in Croatia, but when he arrived in New York City, it became his home -- and the focus of his work. His vibrant and whimsical paintings of New York landscapes and iconic structures portray the city as a happy utopia, and provide a nice contrast from the city's gritty, and hard-nosed reputation. Sinovcic's work is now hanging on the show walls of 1133 Avenue of the Americas (located next to the NY Institute of Photography in midtown Manhattan) and will stay up until May 15. On Thursday, April 16, the artist will be at 1133 Avenue of the Americas from 6 to 8 p.m. to answer questions, and celebrate. Go to mirosinovcic.com, or nyframeofmind.blogspot.com to learn more.
