Artist Todd DiCiurcio's charcoal drawing of Ed Westwick's band The Filthy Youth, came to life Tuesday night when the Gossip Girl star took the stage at Santos' Party House in New York. The night of art and music was held for DiCiurcio's "Synthesis" show featuring seven of his oversized live music portrait drawings of bands including Bon Jovi, The Pie Tasters, as well as Death of Fashion who took the stage before The Filthy Youth. DiCiurcio has spent the last ten years attending concerts and drawing the bands while the shows go on. When the band starts playing, he begins drawing, and when the show is over, the drawing is complete.
Model Petra Nemcova hosted the event, and proceeds from the art sales went to benefit her "Happy Hearts" charity, as well as the Art Production Fund. This was Santos' Party House's first solo-artist exhibition, and guests like Taylor Momsen, Danny Masterson, Erika Christensen, and Santos' owner Andrew W.K. joined the evening of art, fashion, celebrities, and music -- with a lot to gossip about.
