Hungry for a rack of ribs? This weekend, from noon until 6 p.m., the Big Apple Barbecue in New York City's Madison Square Park draws together 14 of the country's top pit masters to cook up pulled pork sandwiches, brisket, and ribs, along with other finger-licking treats. Among those behind the grills will be Blue Smoke's Ken Callahan, Joe Duncan of Baker's Ribs in Dallas, and Tommy Houston of Checkered Pig in Virginia. Proceeds this year will once again benefit the Madison Square Park Conservancy. Admission is free. Go to www.bigapplebbq.org.
