Austrian duo Robert Staudinger and Andreas Franke have been professional partners since 1989, and they have more in common than their shooting style: both count red snapper as their favorite fish. Brainstorming ideas for an arresting image for this issue’s “Dressed to Grill” (page 86), they decided that they wanted to dress the fish up as something special. “It’s like a fish putting new clothes on. It becomes a ‘must have’ that changes season by season, just like the fish on the menu.” The duo recently shot the book Masters of Origami.
