London-born MARTYN THOMPSON was raised in Australia, has lived in Paris, and now resides in New York. The frequent flyer and CITY contributor has photographed for Travel & Leisure and W, among others, and in “View Finder” (page 62), he shows off the most “unique, amusing, and beautiful” sights of his worldly travels over the past decade. “As time is often short, I tend to take pictures that appeal instinctively,” he says. “I react to light and color, and hope these elements represent some essence of the place.”
