He’s “crazy about Africa,” but DIEGO FUGA’s ideal vacation is spent horseback riding in the jungles of south Ecuador. “In traveling, you find millions of surprises,” he says. “Eighty percent of my free time is invested in trips to places I haven’t seen.” The photographer, born and bred in Milan, brings his love of spontaneity to his work—which has appeared in magazines Surface and V and ads for Saks, Theory, and Puma—and prefers to approach projects without a predetermined vision. Fuga’s distaste for limits didn’t keep him from the tiny setting of “Le Labo …rdel” (page 88).
