Los Angeles, CA -- July 12, 2007 CITY Magazine, the luxury lifestyle magazine, hosted an exclusive event to celebrate the release of Taste Summer, the Food & Entertaining Issue. The event took place at Andrew Belchic's newest jaunt on Sunset Boulevard, Empress Restaurant.

Empress, listed at #101 in CITY's Summer Entertaining Issue's "Restaurants We Love", treated 100 VIP guests to a tasting of Pan-Asian hors d'oeuvres and unveiled its feature recipe in CITY. In accompaniment to the tasting, Imperia Vodka served signature cocktails: the Classic Martini and the Royal POM, a unique take on the Cosmo. To accentuate the ambiance, Rimmel Cosmetics applied traditional Geisha style makeup to the servers and artist Steve Fawley showcased his vibrant Geisha renditions. Music sets were played by DJ Luther and Johnny.

VIP Guests left the event with a one-week pass to Equinox Fitness Clubs, CDs by Thrive, a preview sample of EBOOST to keep them going, copies of LeBook 2007, and gift cards supplied by Willow Stream Spas and Alicia Shulman Jewelry. Nikita Clothing filled the gift bags with sweaters and jackets. Michael Stars boasted their brag books and Diesel supplied belts. Guests left Empress with all senses satisfied!
